About the Journal

The journal Academia. Boletín de la Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando is a scientific, annual journal that began publication in 1881 and, after an interruption between 1933–1951, continues to be published today. It is now an indexed scientific journal referenced in the ÍnDICES (CSIC), LATINDEX, MIAR, CIRC, DICE, DIALNET, REBIUN, ERIH PLUS and CARHUS PLUS databases.

Since 2020, the entire collection has been digitized to enhance its dissemination and is accessible online. All published articles are evaluated through a double-blind peer review process and are assigned a DOI.

The lists of external reviewers have been published every three years since 2017.

• No. 126 contains the list of external reviewers who contributed to issues 124 (2022), 125 (2023), and 126 (2024) (p. 159).
• No. 122-123 contains the list of reviewers for issues 121 (2019) and 122-123 (2020–2021) (p. 253).
• No. 119-120 contains the list of those who contributed to issues 117 (2015), 118 (2016), and 119-120 (2017–2018) (pp. 165–166).

As of 20-02-2025, it has been recognized in Italy as a scientific journal in Class A (Area 10, Sector 10/B1) by the Agenzia Nazionale di Valutazione del Sistema Universitario e della Ricerca (ANVUR).
