The study of the plants depicted in the sixteenth- and seventeenth-century tapestries belonging to the Spanish Crown (National Heritage) provides insight into the gardens and gardening elements represented in these scenes, as well as into the different styles of garden design associated with these works. This article presents several images of gardens and gardening features found in these tapestries, accompanied by explanatory texts.
