The paper investigates a group of works from the Farnese Collection associated with the Roman Villa Farnesina alla Lungara between the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. Through the analysis of Farnese and Bourbon inventories, it reconstructs the display and organization of antiquarian sculptures within the villa, tracing their transformations during the transition from the Farnese to the Spanish Bourbons. The study highlights the changing functions of these artworks as the Farnesina evolved from a private residence into the first Academy of Painting and Drawing of the Kingdom of Naples (1734-1861).
